Kestrel International does not manage pension assets. It provides recommendations to clients, following a review of their UK pension assets, as to whether or not it would be appropriate to transfer such assets to a UK Self Invested Personal Pension Plan (SIPP).
Our clients' SIPPs are provided and administered by a pension trustee, MC Trustees Limited, who is regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority. We also work with award winning UK fund managers who we believe are amongst the best in their class. These fund managers actively invest pension assets in client SIPPs. Fund managers who we frequently recommend include Margetts Fund Management Limited and Close Asset Management Limited.
Based upon our past experience, Kestrel International has made arrangements to provide a “bespoke” pension product for expatriates utilising the administrative and trustee services of MC Trustees Limited. MC Trustees on receipt of your pension transfer application check that the information and anti money laundering requirements of the UK Financial Services Authority and pension regulator are met. On receipt of transfer monies as trustee they open a bank account for your fund and execute your investment instructions. Additionally they deal with any UK tax issues for your pension both before taking benefit and when your pension is in payment. For further information on MC Trustees Limited, please visit their website.
Margetts is an award winning fund manager. Kestrel International works with its clients and Margetts to establish a risk rated profile suitable for each individual and their pension goals. With this individual profile, Margetts will recommend one or more of four of their funds:

They also offer a number of other plan options, which we may from time to time advise clients to consider investing in, including access to different asset classes offered by Close Asset Management, such as the Freehold Income Trust which invests in “ground rents”.
